What coop groups are responsible for doing
..........................................................................................

Once a month your group's contact person needs to fill out the index submission form for your group's entry in the scene index. Responses are due by the date posted above.

Sending material to scenelink
..........................................................................................

To send anything to scenelink, just go to one of the submission pages
  • index submission form: for writing your entry in the scene index
  • news submission form: if you hear anything that you think other people should hear too, or if you have an announcement about your own group to make, submit it here. You can send the news strictly to us, or have it posted on the front page of scenelink.
  • emag submission form: if your group releases anything other than warez or art packs, submit it here. If someone else released it, send it to us anyway and we'll contact them about it.
  • signup submission form: if your group isn't already a coop group, go here to sign up

How your group can help scenelink
..........................................................................................

  • Tell everyone about us. If you know groups that aren't already coop groups, send them to the coop-overview page.
  • Add us to your group's website. You can put in a link to us, or the dynamic banner which changes weekly to announce new issues of scenelink and other goings on.
  • Add us to your group's nfo. Lots of people have no contact with the scene except through the nfo files they read. Putting something about scenelink in your group's nfo is one of the only ways we can reach people who don't know anything about the scene. Feel free to put in whatever you want, just try to work in "www.scenelink.org" somewhere. Here are some suggestions for lines to use:
    • groupname is a proud sponsor of www.scenelink.org
    • groupname participates in www.scenelink.org
    • for all the latest scene news, visit www.scenelink.org

Info for contact people
..........................................................................................

Q: What do contact people have to do?
A: You have to fill out the index submission form once each month for your group. That means you need to ask the people in your group about group announcements, releases, rumors, and get a copy of the latest nfo. You also need to be on the coop group listserv and read anything that comes to you marked as IMPORTANT. From time to time scenelink may ask you for suggestions as well.

Q: What if you can't find someone in your group that you need to ask about the index?
A: If it's a day or two before deadline (see the top of this page) and you don't think you'll find the person, then just fill in what you can and leave the rest blank. You can always send it in after you've gotten whatever info you needed, and it makes it a lot easier for us if everyone has submitted something. If it's going to be a problem, just email submit@scenelink.org and let us know.

Q: What if you don't have time to be a contact person?
A: Talk to your group leader and have them pick someone else to do it. Keep in mind that it probably will take you 10 minutes per month to submit the info for the index. Once you have a replacement, you or your group's leader needs to email submit@scenelink.org and give us the new person's nick, email, and position in the group.

Q: How do you send in info?
A: Use the submission pages, or email it to submit@scenelink.org

Q: Who do you ask if you have a problem?
A: Email neofish9, or talk to neofish9 or DeZigner in #scenelink
